If you've clicked on this you are probably wondering what proshipping is. This will explain it all to you. Many other explanations I have seen have been complicated, and hard for me to read, so I'm trying to provide a better, more clear explanation!

what is proshipping and what are proshippers?
Proshipping is the shipping of immoral and illegal ships. Proshippers are the people who ship these things because they believe "fiction does not affect reality."Proshipping also referes to "anti-harassment towards problematic fiction because it is not reality.These ships include:
- incest
- pedophillia
- abusive relationships
- grooming
- rapeSome things mentioned above may refer to: adults x children, sibling x sibling, abusive partner x abusive partner, groomer adult x clueless child, rapist x victim.
why is proshipping bad?
Proshipping is bad for a lot of reasons!! Here are some you should think about.
First of all, it is illegal in a lot of places! Pedophilia and incest is also morally wrong. Proshipping can promote these things (pedophillia + incest) in media. By showing things like this online, it might send the message that things like pedophillia and incest are okay when they are absolutley not! It may also make people more "comfortable" with the idea of pedophillia and incest, which is also not okay!
Many proships I see are also sexualisting literal children! Which again, is not okay at all. There is tons nsfw art of children and nsfw posts by adults about children that proshippers post online. It is disgusting quite frankly.For the adults attracted to children, many people use the words "loli-con" or "shota-con."
Many proshippers will argue that it is a coping mechanism (for traumatic events). Coping mechanisms are always okay, but in this case I do not believe proshipping is a good one. Romanticising these types of relationships is terrible for people who have experienced similar things in real life. It is not a valid coping mechanism.
Another argument proshippers may use to defend themselves is "proshipping does not hurt anyone." However, this is very wrong. Many people scrolling through social media have trauma! Their trauma may be represented in many proships!! When people with related trauma see these things online, it can trigger panic attacks, anxiety attacks, and more trauma related defenses. Posting proship content publicly is wrong.
how to avoid proshippers
If you'd like to avoid proshippers online, there are a few things you can do. Many proshippers use certain words or symbols to let others know they are proshippers or people with similar ideals. These symbols and words might be in social media bios, hastags, or usernames, so watch out!! Some of those symbols are:- 🌈🍖

(sakura-moon = proship)
- "comship"
(new word for proship but same thing)
- "proship"
(proshipper)
- "shota-con"
(attracted to boys who are children)
- "loli-con"
(attracted to girls who are children)

Kaeya was adopted by crepus, Diluc's father, making them adopted brothers. Finding them not brothers because Kaeya is not blood related, is invalidating to anybody with adopted siblings. Adopted family is REAL FAMILY.• Klee, Sayu, Qiqi, Diona x anybody
The people listed above are all below the age of 12. Shipping them with anybody else in the game is disgusting and should not be done. Even with the other teenagers. The other kids in genshin are all at least 15+. (pedophilia)• Klee x Albedo (related)
Albedo is an adult (around 20), and Klee is 8 years old. Not to mention that Albedo is thought of as a brother to Klee. Albedo calls Klee's mom, Alice, "Aunt Alice." Somehow I see this frequently? They are siblings, clearly stated and shown throughout the entire game.
Jujutsu Kaisen:
• Gojo x Itadori
Gojo is an adult. Itadori is his student, who is a minor. (pedophilia)• Geto x Student
The students are all minors. (pedophilia) • Sukuna x Itadori
Again, Itadori is 16. Sukuna is literally over 1000 years old. Not to mention they use the same body which is a little strange when you think about it. (pedophilia)• Maki x Mai

I have no clue why this is a common one. They are siblings, clearly stated in the entire show and manga. (incest)• Tanjiro x Giyuu

Not surprised I've seen this anymore. Again, Nezuko is a minor (14) and Giyuu is a grown man (21). (pedophilia)
